Delivery
Prepare a release and check whether it is ready
For: Release owners, evidence providers and assigned approvers.
Create a release candidate
- Open the software project, choose releases → New release candidate, and enter Version or build, Release title, Platform and Environment.
- Select the project tasks for Included work. Check the release policy, commit and artifact digest before selecting Create release.
What to expect. The release overview identifies the candidate. Included work shows the tasks bound to it.
Attach evidence and resolve a blocked check
- In Releases, filter by project or environment and open the version. Select Checks & approvals and expand the required check to read its requirement.
- Use Register evidence. Select the Gate, give the evidence a title, identify its source, exact version and link, and explain What it shows. Select Attach to gate.
- Inspect the evidence and its verification state on the check. Record the applicable result only after checking that the evidence matches this candidate. Review Required approvals and any changes since review.
What to expect. The readiness heading shows whether the candidate is ready or still blocked. An attachment by itself is not a verified pass.
Record what was delivered
- Open Deployment history on the exact release. Choose Record delivery event.
- Enter the actual outcome and supporting delivery reference, then record it. Check the project, version and environment before submitting.
What to expect. The event appears in Deployment history. Ready for release describes approval to proceed, not a completed deployment.
